The star Gujarat Titans (GT) leg-spinner Rashid Khan and all-rounder Arshad Khan made a shocking blunder on the field in the 5th match of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025).
Priyansh Arya, who is making his IPL debut for Punjab Kings (PBKS), got the lifeline due to the blunder of Rashid Khan and Arshad Khan at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Tuesday, March 25.

Shubman Gill, Ashish Nehra furious at Rashid Khan, Arshad Khan
Priyansh Arya came into the match with a big reputation and he made an instant impact with the bat. He played an attacking brand of cricket from the word go and troubled the GT bowlers.
However, his quickfire innings could have ended in the 2nd over itself, but that didn’t happen as Rashid Khan and Arshad Khan dropped his catch.
On the fourth ball of the over, the star pacer Kagiso Rabada bowled a length delivery to Arya outside off stump and he tried to drive it down the ground but only got it off the lower part of the bat.
The ball went up in the air, and Arshad Khan, from mid-off, went for the catch, and Rashid Khan also tried to get close. However, Arshad didn’t even get his hands on it, and Rashid left it late for the other man, and that created confusion. The calling was not good from the duo, and their fielding blunder reminded fans of the poor fielding standards of Team Pakistan.
Also, the Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill and head coach Ashish Nehra were quite disappointed looking at the mistake.

So this team will depend more on the bowling than the batting – Piyush Chawla on GT bowlers
In an interaction on ESPNCricinfo ahead of the GT vs PBKS clash, Piyush Chawla said that the Gujarat Titans have got a great bowling unit and they will depend heavily on the bowlers. He said:
“Along with all the talents you have there, Rashid, Siraj have done a good performance with the white ball in the last few times. Then you have Rabada. He is a good, experienced bowler. So this team will depend more on the bowling than the batting.
Meanwhile, during the same discussion, Ambati Rayudu and Piyush Chawla said that the Punjab Kings would be favorites to win the match against Gujarat Titans.
“My favorite is Punjab for now. Because there is more balance and the Indian core is very strong,” Ambati Rayudu said.
“I completely agree with you. Because if you look at the team on paper, Punjab seems to be more balanced and seems to be better,” said Piyush Chawla.
