Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has opened up about the qualities that he would want from the top three Indian legends MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma. He also expressed his desire to face Jasprit Bumrah, saying that he would be grateful for the challenge.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has put massive strides forward in his international cricket and it’s fair to say that with him being around, the future of Indian cricket will be in safe hands. The right-hander stole the limelight after his performances in the IPL last year.

Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 303 runs in 11 innings at an average of 33.66 and a strike-rate of 142.92 last year. He also was handy with the ball and was one of the major reasons behind the team reaching the final.
Following that, he was included in the Indian setup in the T20Is and he made a vital impact before he was named in the team for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. He played a key role for the team and slammed a magnificent century in the fourth game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.

In an interview with JioStar, Nitish Reddy said that he wants to have the captaincy skills of MS Dhoni, aggression and passion for the game of Virat Kohli, and a pull shot of Rohit Sharma. He also added that he wants to carry forward the legacy of all these players. He explained:
“From Dhoni, I would love to have his captaincy skills. From Kohli, I admire his aggression and passion for the game. And from Rohit, I would love to master his pull shot – it’s simply outstanding,” Reddy said on JioHotstar’s show Gen Bold.
“This generation of Indian cricket has been shaped by legends like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and others. They have taken Indian cricket to new heights, and we aspire to carry forward their legacy. Players like Jasprit, Rohit and Virat are truly golden assets to Indian cricket,” he added.

Nitish Kumar Reddy also talked about his desire to play against Jasprit Bumrah, saying that if he manages to score some runs against him, he would be very happy. While talking about the same, he said:
“I would be grateful for the challenge. He is one of the best bowlers in the world right now, and facing him would be an exciting contest. If I manage to score some runs against him, I will be very happy. Competing against top bowlers like Bumrah is what makes the game exciting,” he said.
