Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar fire RCB to 221
RCB’s win was set up by a dominant batting display earlier in the evening. Virat Kohli played a classy knock of 67 off 42 balls, anchoring the innings. Skipper Rajat Patidar smashed a rapid 64 off 32 deliveries, while Jitesh Sharma’s explosive 40 from 21 balls propelled RCB to a massive 221/5 – their highest total at the Wankhede in IPL history.

MI fights but falls short
In response, Mumbai Indians showed commendable fight, led by Tilak Varma’s 56 off 29 balls and Hardik Pandya’s blistering 42 off just 15. The pair added 89 runs in a thrilling partnership that had MI eyeing a comeback. But Josh Hazlewood’s dismissal of Hardik and Krunal’s composed final over proved crucial in halting MI’s momentum.
RCB break Wankhede curse
This victory holds historical significance for RCB — it was their first win at the Wankhede Stadium in a decade, ending a frustrating losing streak at Mumbai’s home ground.
