Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) keeper-batter Jitesh Sharma came up with a magical effort with the gloves during the game against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The game between the two teams is taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
After posting a fighting total of 163 runs, Royal Challengers Bengaluru were off to a flying start with the ball. First, Yash Dayal sent Faf du Plessis packing, and after that, Bhuvneshwar Kumar came up with the wicket of Jake Fraser-McGurk, but credit for that wicket equally goes to Jitesh Sharma, who took a brilliant catch behind the stumps.
On the first ball of the second over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a 131kph back of a length ball on off that seamed away after pitching. Jake Fraser-McGurk went for an ugly swipe across the line but only managed to edge it behind as the ball was seen swirling in the night sky.
Jitesh Sharma, who moved to his left had to put in the dive. He fumbled on the first attempt but managed to take it on the second attempt. However, what was impressive was that he got his fingertips to it, and the ball almost popped out, but he showed good reflexes to hold on.

Jake Fraser-McGurk bagged another low score in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025
Jake Fraser-McGurk bagged another low score in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The opening batter was back in the hut after scoring just 7 runs off 6 balls, slamming one-four during his stay at the crease. With his wicket, Delhi Capitals were left tottering at 10 for two.
Earlier in the day, Royal Challengers Bengaluru didn’t have a great outing with the bat even though they were off to a flying start. Phil Salt (37) and Virat Kohli (22) were very aggressive with the bat as they added 61 runs for the opening stand.
However, after that Delhi Capitals pulled back things incredibly well with spinners taking the charge. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru was reduced from 61 for no loss to 103 for five. Skipper Rajat Patidar tried to hold the one end up, but that wasn’t the case.

He, too, was back in the hut for just 22 runs. Devdutt Padikkal (1), Liam Livingstone (4) and Jitesh Sharma (3) all failed. Krunal Pandya (18) chipped in with the vital contribution but the real blitz came from the hand of Tim David in the end.
Tim David played a great hand of unbeaten 37 runs off 20 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 185 and also slammed 2 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. His knock powered Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a total of 163 for seven. For Delhi Capitals, Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav picked two wickets each.
