Rashid Khan, on Monday (April 21), roared back to form with a scintillating bowling display for Gujarat Titans against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 39th game of the ongoing IPL 2025.
One of the best spinners in the world for a number of years now, Rashid Khan has been quite off-color this season.

In the first seven games, the Afghanistan superstar managed to pick up only four wickets while having an economy rate of more than 9.

He struggled with his form last year as well. In 12 games, Rashid managed a modest haul of 10 wickets while having an economy rate of over 8.
While many have questioned his place in the Gujarat Titans’ playing eleven, the team management has not shied away from backing their star spinner.
Sai Kishore openly supports Rashid
And on Monday, R Sai Kishore gave a glimpse of the kind of support Rashid Khan gets from his teammates.
Sai Kishore had a stunning response after commentator Nick Knight questioned Rashid’s form. The former England cricketer was speaking to Sai Kishore after the game when he decided to ask the Tamil Nadu ace about Rashid’s form.

Sai Kishore on Rashid Khan’s form:
Kishore did not shy away from throwing his support behind his teammate while also hailing him as the ‘best T20 bowler in the world’.
He also made it clear that the outside noise does not bother the Gujarat Titans dressing room by cheekily saying, ‘I don’t know what it’s like in the commentary box’.
“What about Rashid Khan? Your spin twin. It hasn’t been the ideal tournament for him. But a couple of wickets (today) in crucial time, how’s it going for him?” asked Knight in the post-match presentation.
In reply, Kishore said: “He’s one of the best T20 bowlers in the world. He’s getting his wicket-taking knack back. As a team, we don’t doubt his abilities, I don’t know what it’s like in the commentary box. We all believe in him and I still believe he’s the best T20 bowler in the world,” replied Kishore.
Rashid Khan had a brilliant outing with the bat against KKR as the Titans thrashed them by 39 runs to bolster their position at the top of the points table. In his first three overs, he conceded only 10 runs and picked up 2 wickets. He eventually finished the game with figures of 2 for 25.
