Indian women’s cricket star has shared an amusing incident involving cricket icon Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma that occurred during their tour of New Zealand. The couple along with the young woman batter and teammate Smriti Mandhana were eventually asked to leave a hotel cafe after their conversation stretched for an extraordinary four hours.
The incident took place when both Indian men’s and women’s cricket teams were staying at the same hotel during their New Zealand tour. Star batter and Mandhana approached Kohli seeking batting advice and tips to improve their game. During her interview with Mashable India Jemimah Rodrigues revealed that Kohli welcomed their request warmly and invited them to the hotel cafe where he was sitting with his wife Anushka. Eventually the cafe staff had to politely intervene asking the group to vacate as it was well beyond operating hours. “The only reason we stopped was because the cafe guys kicked us out. ‘That’s enough. It’s 11:30. Leave now’” Rodrigues laughed while recalling the incident.
