The Asia Cup 2025 Contest witnessed India defeating Pakistan in a highly anticipated match at the Dubai International Stadium; however, the fans are not pleased with either the losing or the winning side, since many had pleaded for the boycott of the match.
The Men in Blue have dominated the Men in Green over the years in international cricket. They have not faced each other in bilaterals for over a decade, but have continued their intense rivalry in ICC tournaments and the Asia Cup.
India have been placed alongside Pakistan, Oman, and the unofficial hosts, the United Arab Emirates, in Group A. They will be playing 3 matches each, and the two teams that top the group stages can qualify for the Super-4 stage.

India defeated Pakistan by a huge 7-wicket margin in the Asia Cup 2025
Having lost another toss, Suryakumar Yadav’s men were pushed to bowl first. The Indians looked delighted with the proposition, as they started off stunningly with the new ball.
Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah shared the new ball alongside all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who has taken up the new role in the Indian T20I lineup under Gautam Gambhir. Gambhir has rested Arshdeep Singh and has shown great faith in his spinners.
Bumrah and Pandya picked up a wicket each to draw early breakthroughs for India, but the main collapse was initiated by the spinners. Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy picked 3, 2 and 1 wickets, respectively.
After restricting Pakistan to a modest 127, with due credit to Shaheen Shah Afridi, who scored a quickfire 33*, Indian batters stunningly initiated the chase. Abhishek Sharma gave India a quick start in the power play.
India finally won the match by 7 wickets, with the skipper Suryakumar Yadav leading from the front. He scored an unbeaten 47* and finished the game with a six.
No Handshake, Lesser Crowd—The India vs Pakistan match ends on a disastrous note
The India vs Pakistan match started with the Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav and the Pakistani skipper Salman Agha refusing to shake hands with each other. This seemed like a predetermined move from the two captains, owing to the political strain between the two nations.
After the refusal of the handshake, another startling incident was witnessed at the Dubai International Stadium. Several seats were found vacant on the occasion of the India vs Pakistan match. This was the first time that tickets went unsold in the hyped India-Pakistan contest.

All one sided games recently. Pakistan not at all a competition for India. Srilanka and Afghanistan are better opponents.

Oh god matches are live and played infront of people, or else pakistan would have claimed victory of this too.

Team @BCCI have won the match but they have lost all the respect they earned. And specially you. You could have avoided it but you choose money above nation sentiments 👍
