With just 24 hours left for the India vs Pakistan clash, none of the senior BCCI officials have reportedly touched down in Dubai. India’s boycott wave against this match is gaining momentum. The recent Pahalgam terrorist attack and Operation Sindhu have stirred strong emotions nationwide.

Only one BCCI official is likely to attend the India vs Pakistan game
As reported by Dainik Jagran, it is not a formal protest but a “silent boycott” by the BCCI to send a message to Pakistan and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) without words. Given the current situation, many BCCI officials decided to stay away from the game this time.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has already opted out of supporting the India vs Pakistan game from the stands in Dubai, citing preparations for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. IPL chairman Arun Singh Dhumal has openly boycotted the game.
On the other hand, the BCCI treasurer Prabhtej Bhatia and joint secretary Rohan Desai are also expected not to travel to Dubai for the match. However, the BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla, who is also an executive member of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), is likely to attend the match in Dubai.
Rajeev Shukla is currently serving as the board’s interim president, and reports suggested that he will be the only official likely to be seen in the VVIP box during the Asia Cup 2025 clash.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah ditches India vs Pakistan clash
