Realeanna Grimmond guides Guyana Amazon Warriors to a competitive total
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the Warriors got off to a steady start with Amy Hunter (34 off 26) playing positively at the top. However, the real anchor of the innings was Realeanna Grimmond, who compiled a measured 61 off 57 balls with six boundaries and a six. Her knock kept the scoreboard ticking and allowed others to play freely around her.
Skipper Stafanie Taylor contributed 15 before departing, while Laura Harris provided the late fireworks, smashing 26 off just 7 deliveries, including three towering sixes. Her cameo propelled Guyana to a strong finish at 154/4 in 20 overs.
For the Royals, Aaliyah Alleyne (2/27) was the standout bowler, striking twice at crucial moments.
