The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Sunday (23rd February) was a host to the India vs Pakistan clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. It was a great outing for the Rohit Sharma-led side as they won their second consecutive win of the tournament.
Asked to bat, Pakistan had a solid start to their innings with Babar Azam (23) and Imam-ul-Haq (10) playing some wonderful shots. The duo added 41 runs for the opening stand before Hardik Pandya removed Babar and Imam got run out.

With the team under pressure, Saud Shakeel (62) and Mohammad Rizwan (47) joined hands and bailed Pakistan out of trouble. The Saud-Rizwan duo added 104 runs for the third wicket, but both couldn’t convert their innings into big ones as Indian spinners brought the team back into the game.
India kept taking wickets at regular intervals that saw Pakistan crumbling at 200 for seven. Khushdil Shah (38) played a vital hand in the end that powered Pakistan to a total of 241. For India, Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up three wickets.

India, in the chase, had a solid start with Rohit Sharma (20) playing aggressively. After his wicket, Shubman Gill (46) and Virat Kohli (100*) took India further ahead in the game with their 69-run partnership before Gill perished to peach by Abrar Ahmed.
Shreyas Iyer (56), at number four, played another solid innings, slamming a solid half-century. He, along with Kohli, added 114 runs for the third wicket that took India close to the target as they didn’t let bowlers settle at all.
Virat Kohli slammed his 51st ODI ton and ensured that India won their second consecutive game in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, winning by six wickets and marking their second straight win. The win against Pakistan now means that the Rohit Sharma-led side have put one step in the semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy
