The International Cricket Council has given the biggest surprise of this year ahead of the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. The governing body has unveiled the tickets for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 at a jaw-dropping low price that has created a buzz across the world.

With less than a month left for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, the ICC managed to turn heads with the record-breaking cut in ticket prices and prize money.

ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 becomes the most affordable ever

For the first time in history, fans can watch a global ICC event for as little as ₹100 (just about $1.14), making the upcoming 50-over tournament the most affordable World Cup ever.

The record-breaking ticket prices were revealed on Thursday, September 4, during a special four-day pre-sale window. In the 2022 edition in New Zealand, the ticket prices started at nearly eight times higher—₹350 for kids and ₹850 for adults.

The ICC made the drastic cut in the price to allow the millions of fans across India, Sri Lanka, and beyond to experience world-class cricket live from the stands.

And to add even more excitement, the ICC has quadrupled the prize money to a whopping $13.88 million, compared to $3.5 million in the 2022 edition of the tournament.

Google Pay users get first pick in 4-Day Pre-Sale

Fans will get an exclusive four-day pre-sale window through Google Pay on Tickets.cricketworldcup.com, running until 7:00 PM IST on Monday, September 8. The second phase of public sales will go live at 8:00 PM IST on Tuesday, September 9, also on the same website.

The initial phase covers all round-robin league matches for Google Pay users, but fans can already register their interest for the next phase, which will open up wider ticketing options. With prices starting at an all-time low, tickets are expected to sell like hotcakes for the mega event.

This 13th edition of the ICC Women’s World Cup will feature eight top teams: India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, England, and South Africa. The tournament will kick off on September 30 in Guwahati, where the hosts, India, will face Sri Lanka.

Shreya Ghoshal to perform at World Cup 2025 grand opening ceremony

Adding a magical touch to the tournament, the ICC has announced that superstar singer Shreya Ghoshal will perform at the Grand Opening Ceremony in Guwahati. The event will take place just before the opening clash between India and Sri Lanka on September 30.

Shreya Ghoshal, who has also recorded the official anthem of the tournament, “Bring it Home,” will deliver a powerful live performance, blending music, culture, and cricket into one unforgettable spectacle in Guwahati.

Notably, India is hosting the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup for the first time after 12 years, and the BCCI is making sure to make this event memorable.
