Realme India is gearing up to launch the Narzo 80 series, starting with teasers for the Narzo 80 Pro. This will be the segment’s first phone with the Dimensity 7400 – that’s easy enough to do, considering that no phone uses the new chip yet (though the rumor mill is keeping an eye on a couple of upcoming models).
Realme is boasting that the chip can achieve an AnTuTu score of over 780K. The chipset is essentially the same as the Dimensity 7300, so it should be comparable to phones that use that one.
As for the previous model, the Realme Narzo 70 Pro uses the older Dimensity 7050. The new chipset has more big CPU cores (four Cortex-A78 instead of two) and a newer GPU – Mali-G615 MC2 vs. Mali-G68 MC4. The G615 architecture is a couple of generations newer than the G68. Anyway, the Dimensity 7400 is also fabbed on a more modern node, 4nm vs. 6nm (both TSMC).
The Realme Narzo 80 Pro will be launched on Amazon India, which already has a landing page. However, that page only touts the new chipset, the AnTuTu score, along with the gaming and multitasking abilities of the upcoming phone.
Realme Narzo 80 Pro teasers
We guess Realme hasn’t gotten to it yet, but earlier this month there was a leak about the Narzo 80x, which will allegedly be powered by the Dimensity 6400. The 80x appears to be a variant of the Realme P3x. However, none of the other P3 models use the Dimensity 7400, so it’s not clear whether the Narzo 80 Pro is a variant of one of those.
