A sad event happened on Wednesday evening in Kannur district of Kerala when school bus carrying children tipped over near Valakkai Bridge, a class 5 student, Nedhya S Rajesh dead. The bus in question belonged to Chinmaya Vidyalaya; as was carrying fifteen students home, it skidded off a slope and toppled over. The 11-year old who was a victim in the accident was thrown out of the bus and was run over by the wheels. The Narendra Modi headed Union Cabinet in its first meeting for the calendar year of 2025 okayed the extension of the PM Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and the Restructured Weather-Based Crop Insurance Scheme.
